Summary: See part one
Rex Van De Kamp looked up from his book when his daughter entered the living room. She walked straight past him, ignoring him completely and took a book out of a shelf, then made her way over to the staircase. “Aren´t you speaking to me anymore?” Rex asked, turning around in his seat. “No, I´m not.” Danielle answered but turned around to face her father all the same. “Look, Sweetie, I´m really sorry about picking a fight with your mother again and believe me, I feel as bad about this as you do.” “Yeah, sure…” Rex sighed. “Danielle, I love Bree. The thought of loosing her scares the hell out of me.” Danielle cautiously came back over the sofa. “Really?” “Yes- I have no idea what to do, I called her and told her I needed her back, but- but I don´t know if it made any difference.” Danielle bent down and wrapped her arms around her father´s neck.
“Bree?” “Yes?” “Do you want me to leave you alone?” “No, of course not.” Trey pulled Bree closer to him, savouring the feeling of her body pressed against his side. He wanted to tell her that he loved her so much but he didn´t want to pressure her any further. Instead he asked “Are you hungry?” “A little-“ “Do you want to go out or order something from the room service?” “Actually I´d like to forget about everything for a while- we´ll have all night to be alone after all.” Trey nodded slowly, trying not to think about the fact that she would leave tomorrow and that perhaps he wouldn´t see her ever again. “Ok, so where do you want to go?” “I don´t know, just somewhere for dinner and afterwards- let´s just see what we can come up with.” Trey watched her getting up from the bed and pulling on her robe before walking over to the bathroom door.
“Not again…” Carrie moaned, reaching for Miranda´s arm and turning her towards the bar. “Fantastic. Where´s Charlotte?” “I don´t know, somewhere over there- we should find her as quickly as possible though, I don´t think she wants to see this.” They watched the couple standing at the bar, Trey in a white shirt and black trousers, the red haired woman next to him in a breathtaking grey satin dress. “She´s really beautiful, isn´t she.” Carrie shrugged at Miranda´s words. “Great, good for Trey- now what are we going to do, we can´t let Charlotte- oh, please.” She watched as Trey pulled Bree close to him and kissed her, a deep, intimate kiss, not at all the kind of kiss you should share in a public place. “Oh my God, what is he thinking, what happened to being a gentle- man?” “No idea.” Trey let go of Bree again, then asked her something and she nodded and he pulled her over onto the dance floor. “How very touching.” Carrie commentated as she watched the couple dance, their bodies so close to each other that she could hardly tell that they were two different bodies at all. “Looks like he´s really in love with her.” Carrie looked over at her friend. “Yeah, I know.”
Bree felt Trey´s arms tighten around her and she put her head onto his shoulder, closing her eyes. His lips grazed her neck, ever so gently caressing her skin and Bree felt tears dwell in her eyes- she hated having to leave him but then there were her children who needed her and Rex- the thought of her husband made her heart pound in her chest but it wasn´t a good feeling, she felt dizzy every time she pictured having to talk to her husband when she got home, she couldn´t imagine them getting back together but she also couldn´t imagine living with him in one house for years without being a couple either- it would be unbearable to feel the tension, to see his accusing gaze, to feel her children´s pain, to answer all the awkward questions of neighbours and friends and eventually Danielle would leave for college and Rex would move out and then she would be all alone… “Stop thinking about it.” Trey´s voice was quiet but Bree caught the words all the same. “I can´t” She whispered back, pressing herself more firmly against her lover´s body.
